We reduce our global ecological footprint to 0.5 (half earth)
That is, Less than 0.9 ha per person. In 2021 it is 2.7ha per person
We dedicate half of all terrestrial land on earth to wildlife - Using the Edward O. Wilson's vision of Nature Needs Half (with some important differences -Respecting Indigenous Land Rights and Reducing the environmental footprint of richer nations by consuming less)
We STOP ECOCIDE -
Stop clearing forests and other natural habitats;
Stop mining; mountain top removal;
Stop ocean trawling;
Stop building dams on rivers; etc.,
We engage in urban mining instead and stop landfilling or incinerating our waste
Cities are green and full of plants, insects, birds, animals and other life that is a part of the local ecosystem
Through our agricultural practices we learn to store carbon in soil and improve soil fertility and health
We learn how to restore and regenerate degraded and polluted lands and how to bring life back on barren lands
Our cities and towns (communities) have:
Clean breathable air free from pollution
Capture rain water and recycle water endlessly
Mainly run on renewable energy that is generated locally as far as possible
Operate in closed loops with a target of achieving zero waste
Sacred groves in every park and nature reserve
Self sufficienct communities:
Our cities are at least 50% self sufficient in terms of our food needs
Regionally, we are 80% self sufficient in terms of our material needs
Collectively, we reduce our population through education and empowerement of women across the world
Children (and adults) are taught:
Nature Education
Connecting with self and understanding one's emotions
How to grow and cook healthy food
